Rise of the Smartphone Breeds Sharing Technologies

Filed under: Card Reader,Card Readers/Writers,Wireless USB Hub Kit — admin @ 9:14 am

Smartphones are changing the way business gets done across many industries. It’s amazing to think that it once took a super-computer the size of an office to provide as much computing power as we can now hold in one hand. Less than ten years ago, you could fill a briefcase with items such as a calculator, notebook, mobile phone, camera, GPS, portable music player and even a compass (for you explorers), whereas now an iPhone or Droid will do the trick.

Back-to-School Tech: Wireless USB Sharing

Filed under: Back to School,USB,Wireless,Wireless USB Hub Kit — admin @ 5:00 am

With skyrocketing tuition costs and a seemingly endless number of tablets, computer accessories and smartphones, not to mention the astronomical costs of college text books, students are looking to save anywhere they can. And while giving up breakfast and lunch in favor of a nightly pizza buffet may seem like a good choice, there are better things for a student’s wallet (and health).
Computers are a mainstay in any dorm room or college apartment, often running non-stop for 4-5 months at a time as students work through and endless stream of term papers, critiques and other projects. Netbook Roundup

Filed under: KVM,Netbooks,Ultra Wide Band,Wireless,Wireless USB Hub Kit — admin @ 7:50 pm

Right now the hottest term in computers is Netbook, it’s a combination of Internet and Notebook, and generally refers to laptop computers that have smaller than a 10” screen. For the most part, Netbooks are primarily used for browsing the Internet, email and intended to be small enough to take anywhere.

There is a sacrifice to be made with them, and that is generally in terms of a much slower processor compared to a full sized laptop, smaller hard drives, less RAM and usually a condensed keyboard. Most Netbooks come in well under $500 though, so they are attractive to someone who needs to accomplish a little more than their Blackberry or iPhone can do, but doesn’t’ want to haul their full sized laptop around.

Some interesting features on Netbooks coming out also include facial recognition software for security, built in card readers and built in 3G Internet connections though various mobile cellular phone services.

Following is a roundup of some of the most popular Netbooks on the market today.
