Studies show that about 60 percent of American adults aspire to have a resolution, and 40 percent make actually make one (or more!). The most common ones are well known by now: lose weight, give up a bad habit, get organized, learn something new and enjoy life more.

Get Organized

Vowing to get organized is a very common resolution, but experts say its vagueness can overwhelm some people. List the specific areas you want to tackle. For example, you'd like to organize your family room so there is more space for activities or a larger, new TV. You can list tasks that will help you get there.

  • Buy a DVD organizer or reduce your stock and stream instead through a service like Neflix or Hulu or through your computer. Recently announced, IOGEAR's new Wireless 1080p Computer to HD Display Kit can stream wirelessly from your laptop to your TV up to 30 feet away, even using your Apple laptop and will be available this spring.
  • Move electronics out of site and stream them from another room with IOGEAR's new Wireless 5x2 HD Matrix, also recently announced and available this spring.
  • Clear off table tops and other surfaces first before tackling a whole room.

Once that organization is done, you'll have room for the new TV. A few reviews might help you get started.

Weight Loss

Whether it's hitting the gym more or losing 10 pounds, there are lots of tips for taking on this frequent resolution. From a digital perspective, an iPod or smartphone with apps might be your best tool with dozens of ways to track exercise and meals or stay motivated.
