How to Throw the Ultimate Halloween Party

October 31st, 2013

It is time to Get Goolish! Halloween is right around the corner and that means that you need to start planning, if you haven't already! Follow these 8 Steps to throw the Ultimate Halloween Party...

  1. Come up with a theme and stick too it... Don't dilute with too many themes going on, people will get confused and not notice all the details you are putting into the party! Try these themes out, or put your own twist on them
    • Vampires' Coffin
    • Haunted House
    • Goblins and Ghouls
    • Paranormal Activity
  2. Invites- now that you have your theme locked down, create your invites. In a previous blog we talked about doing E-Vites because it automatically reminds your guests of the party. If you do not want to do electronic invitations because you want to send them in the mail, there are a ton of free Printables online that you can use to spice up your invites
  3. Party Games- This includes but is not limited to, costume contests, bobbing for apples, and trick or treating, check out LegendaryHalloween.com for more Adult Games to play.
  4. You know your Theme and your Games, now it is time to decorate. Again there are a ton of DIY and Free printables that you can get online. If you want to take your decorations to the next level you need to make sure that your decorations are automated. Make sure that your props have lots of lasting power, check out our GearPower line to give you the reassurance you won't be running around trying to make your d├ęcor work!
  5. Be Creative when you are making the food and drinks! Try a witch's caldron for some punch or shot glasses with edible eyeballs in them. Check out these sites for more ideas of how to make your guest drool over your food!
  6. I mentioned this last time and I'll say it again, the best way to keep the adults happy is to occupy the kids. Set them up with a station of Halloween Coloring books or crafts, maybe even their very own trick or treat table! DLTK has a lot of ideas and free printables for the kids too! Don't forget to include them in the costume contest or make sure they have their own!
  7. Get that playlist bumpin, and keep it going all night long, whether it is The Monster Mash or some Top 40 songs, when your guests are asking for your mix, check out the MediaShair and have them simply download the MediaShair app and give them your master music list.
  8. Don't forget to get your costume! Maybe try and match the theme of your party! If you are a Vampire's coffin theme make sure to dress up as a Vampire Family and welcome everybody to your humble abode that is your layer!

Enjoy your Halloween party with Friends and Family and make sure to take lots and lots of pictures so everybody remembers that you threw the best Halloween Party they have every seen!!
