IOGEAR Drives Bluetooth Innovation at Macworld 2004 [07-02-2004]
Presents new line of external hard drives and Bluetooth products
Irvine, CA – July 2, 2004 – IOGEAR will showcase its new external hard drives, including its 1.8” USB 2.0 / FireWire ION Drive and 3.5” Combo ION Drive at Macworld 2004 in Boston, July 12 – 15, Booth #606. The company will also highlight its new extended range of Bluetooth products, including the Wireless Bluetooth Mini Mouse and the Wireless Bluetooth Headset.
The 1.8” USB 2.0 / Combo ION Drives are the smallest hard drives available on the market, allowing consumers to store documents, pictures, music and videos in one compact, highly-portable enclosure. The Mac/PC compatible drives offer capacities up to 40GB and extremely high data transfer rates of up to 480 Mbps (USB 2.0) and 400 Mbps (FireWire).
The 3.5” Combo ION Drive combines computer storage and backup equipment in one device. The product offers Tri-Select backup technology, allowing multiple types of backup settings to be designed for computers. Once the Tri-Select button has been set up, it will automatically backup a single file or an entire directory as programmed.
In addition, IOGEAR will demonstrate its Bluetooth Mini Mouse, a small, lightweight device that allows computing of up to 66 feet from the computer. The mouse provides great flexibility for mobile workers as it works with any Bluetooth-enabled system that supports the HID (Human Interface Device) system. Ideal for users in need of precision computing, the device offers 800-dpi resolution, twice the accuracy of standard mice.
IOGEAR’s Bluetooth headset allows consumers hands free use of Bluetooth 1.1 compatible cell phones. The product comes with an ear hook and volume control for comfortable use and secure wearing. Users can talk for hours with a built-in rechargeable battery.
