IOGEAR Introduces First HDMI-compliant KVMs for Creating Robust Computing and Entertainment Environments [01-08-2009]
Also launches DualView Dual-Link DVI KVMP Switch that supports resolutions higher than 1080p HD
IOGEAR today announced additions to its KVM product suite that cater to users who require higher resolutions, seamless audio and the integration of HDMI-compliant devices into their work or entertainment spaces.
For gamers and high-end video editors that depend on high-definition resolutions and the best possible audio, IOGEAR’s new 2- and 4-Port HDMI KVM Switches with USB 2.0 Peripheral Sharing (GCS1792, GCS1794) are HDMI 1.3b and HDCP compliant. These KVMs also support up to 1080p HD resolutions, and Dolby True HD and DTS HD Master Audio. Now, users can easily add keyboard and mouse functionality to their gaming consoles, computers and other HDMI devices as the products support
high-definition videos with crystal clarity for easy editing or enjoyable viewing.
The 4-Port DualView Dual-Link DVI KVMP Switch (GCS1644) allows graphic designers to easily work from DualView displays while viewing pictures in resolutions higher than 1080p. Special effects artists can also work from multiple PCs, while sharing a set of speakers or microphone between the machines.
All of the new KVMs feature IOGEAR’s Display Emulation Technology, which remembers monitor parameters to preserve video resolution when switching between PCs. The switches are also integrated with two USB 2.0 ports to share peripherals, such as external hard drives, between computers, greatly reducing desk clutter.
Each product will be available in Q1 2009 from all major catalog and online resellers, as well as select retail outlets. The 2- and 4-Port HDMI KVM Switches with USB 2.0 Peripheral Sharing are available for $299.95 and $449.95 MSRP and come with a three-year warranty. The 4-Port DualView Dual-Link DVI KVMP Switch has a three-year warranty and can be purchased for $679.95 MSRP.
