New A/V distribution gear from IOGEAR’s custom install line give CEDIA dealers and installers more flexibility and higher profits for residential and commercial projects.
Indianapolis, IN - CEDIA EXPO 2011 - September 8-10, 2011 - Booth# 5233 - Today at CEDIA Expo 2011, IOGEAR announce the newest additions to the AVIOR Series of A/V distribution products, highlighted by the unveiling of 3D-ready splitters and switchers that will give installers more flexibility when dealing with multiple displays and components. Content streaming demos and accessories that highlight the company's commitment to convergence through connectivity will also be displayed.
As 3D displays continue to work their way into more entertainment rooms and venues, the need for products capable of distributing 3D content will grow. AVIOR's 4 and 8-port HDMI® Audio / Video switchers allow users to switch between as many as eight HDMI sources on a single display. With fundamental support for 1080p with deep color as well as Dolby® TrueHD and DTS® HD Master Audio and an RS-232 port, the switchers are primed for the most technically advanced A/V set-ups.

Performing the opposite A/V distribution task are the new 4 and 8-port HDMI Audio / Video splitters which take A/V signals from a single HDMI source and direct it to as many as eight separate HD TVs or displays with 3D support. Also HDCP compliant, the splitters support the highest quality HD video and multi-channel digital audio; enabling the splitting of HD, non-HD or 3D content from DVR / Set-top boxes, Blu-ray players, computers and other devices. Both models also offer cascading up to three levels with the 4-port version supporting 64 HDMI signals and the 8-port supporting up to 512 HDMI signals.

Also on display at CEDIA Expo is the rack-mountable AVIOR GHMS8044 4x4 HD Audio / Video Matrix Switch with RS-232 and multi-channel digital audio. This important accessory connects up to four full HD 1080p source devices and routes them to any of four connected HD displays. The four HDMI inputs allow devices such as Blu-ray / DVD players, DVRs, cable boxes and media servers to cross switch between devices or split a single source in mirror mode to as many as four HDMI equipped HD displays.
The GHMS8044 supports Full HD 1080p and 3D with HDCP compliance along with Dolby® TrueHD and DTS® HD Master Audio for a total high-end matrix switching install solution. Individual sources are accessible for switching, cross switching or setting to mirror mode by convenient front panel pushbutton, IR remote, or by the RS232 port for total professional control.

Along with the switcher, splitter and matrix showings, IOGEAR will be demonstrating wireless A/V streaming courtesy of the AVIOR Wireless HD Kit (GWAK8141K) which can stream 1080p content up to 100 feet. Easy to install and ideal for installations where wire runs aren't an option, the Wireless HD Kit opens up profit streams for retrofit projects. Additionally, IOGEAR will have a host of adapters and wireless Bluetooth and A/V keyboards aimed at bringing convenient functionality to installers and their customers.
