Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station Turns Laptops Into High-Performance Workstations; DisplayPort KVMP Switches Enable Multiple Computers to Share Resources Maximizing Efficiency, Eliminating Hardware Redundancy

LAS VEGAS – Jan. 4, 2016 – IOGEAR, a manufacturer of innovative information technology products for consumers and small- to medium-sized businesses, today announced the expansion of their comprehensive portfolio of award-winning, innovative connectivity solutions with the launch of a Thunderbolt™ 3 Docking Station and four DisplayPort KVMP switches at CES 2017. The company will be showcasing the new products, in addition to its existing line of high-performance connectivity products and solutions, January 5-8, 2017, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Central Hall booth 12946.

Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station Turns Laptops into Workstations

IOGEAR’s new Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station with 15W Power Delivery (GTD733) is a stylish, high-speed docking station that turns a Thunderbolt 3-enabled computer into a complete workstations. The versatile GTD733 connects quickly and hassle-free to the computer via a single Thunderbolt cable which transfers data at ultra-fast speeds up to 40 Gbps, and also delivers up to 15W of power to charge the laptop.

Housed in a sleek, durable stainless steel case, the GTD733 features three USB 3.0 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port, a DisplayPort, and two Thunderbolt 3 ports capable of daisy-chaining. For multiple display environments, the docking station supports dual 4K video out through the built-in DisplayPort and the downstream Thunderbolt port. A dedicated front-facing USB fast-charging port can charge mobile devices even when the computer is turned off or completely disconnected. Two 3.5mm audio jacks (audio input/headphone output) are also provided to support the user’s audio needs.

The GTD733 will be available in Q1 2017 at a MSRP of $299.95.

Control Multiple DisplayPort Computers from a Single Keyboard, Mouse and Monitor

IOGEAR’s new family of TAA-compliant DisplayPort KVMP switches makes it easy to control two or four DisplayPort computers using a single keyboard, mouse and monitor. High-speed USB hubs incorporated into each switch enable the attached computers to share peripherals such as storage devices, print servers, and modem splitters, improving efficiencies and eliminating hardware redundancy.

The new family of DisplayPort KVMP Switches includes:

  • GCS1902 2-Port DisplayPort KVMP Switch with USB 3.0 Hub and Audio;
  • GCS1904 4-Port DisplayPort KVMP Switch with USB 3.0 Hub and Audio;
  • GCS1932 2-Port DisplayPort 1.2 KVMP Switch with USB 3.1 Gen1 Hub and Audio;
  • GCS1934 4-Port DisplayPort 1.2 KVMP Switch with USB 3.1 Gen1 Hub and Audio.

The IOGEAR DisplayPort KVMP Switches support DisplayPort 1.1 (GCS1902 and GCS1904) and DisplayPort 1.2 (GCS1932 and GCS1934) technologies providing 4K resolutions to display the most vivid high-definition video available and deliver premium sound for music, movies and gaming. In addition to front panel buttons and hotkeys, the KVMP switches enable users to quickly and easily switch between connected computers by clicking the wheel button on a 3-button USB mouse. The built-in USB 3.0 hubs allow users to transfer data to and from connected peripherals at speeds up to 5 Gbps. These versatile DisplayPort KVMP Switches feature asynchronous switching which allows the KVM switch to focus on one computer with the USB peripheral focus on another computer.

The new DisplayPort KVMP Switches will be available in Q1 2017 at MSRPs of $399.95 for the GCS1932 and $649.95 for the GCS1934. Specific pricing for the more affordably-priced GCS1902 and GSC1904 DisplayPort KVMP Switches has not yet been released.
