IOGEAR Bridges The Gap Between Computers And Digital Devices [10-17-2005]

Introduces four removable Pocket Card Readers for quick connectivity

Irvine, CA – October 17, 2005 – IOGEAR has minimized the lengthy time associated with data transfers with the launch of four compact, hi-speed, bi-directional Pocket Card Readers. The products are designed to store and transfer data between computers and memory cards. These new additions to the existing line of Pocket Card Readers are the perfect companion for devices such as digital cameras, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and handheld/palmtop PCs, allowing users to travel with and access data from memory cards more conveniently and in much less time. IOGEAR’s Pocket Card Readers offer users a Flash memory drive, along with the ability to transfer images and data quickly from Memory Stick PRO Duo and Memory Stick Duo Cards, Reduced-Size MultiMedia Cards (RS-MMC), mini Secure Digital Cards (mini-SD) and micro Secure Digital Cards (a.k.a. T-Flash or Trans-Flash). “With these new devices, IOGEAR enables consumers to easily transfer pictures, data and music at remarkably high speeds from any memory card,” said Miranda Su, vice president of sales and marketing at IOGEAR. “Their compact size makes the devices perfect for the growing number of mobile professionals and students on the go.” Each of the Plug-n-Play devices support USB 2.0, making data transfers four times faster than the standard digital camera connection, with speeds up to 480 Mbps. While being fully compatible with USB 2.0, the Pocket Card Readers are also backwards compatible with USB 1.1. Additionally, these products are hot swappable, allowing PC storage cards to be easily replaced without having to restart the computer. The Pocket Card Readers are priced at $19.95 each, and are available immediately from all major catalog resellers, online resellers and selected retail outlets. The devices are all also backed by IOGEAR’s three-year limited warranty. For further information on IOGEAR products, please visit www.iogear.com.
