IOGEAR Pulls the Trigger on Tepid Presentations~ New radio frequency mouse allows presenters to move around the room and interact with audiences [07-01-2003]

IOGEAR has launched a trigger-style wireless mouse with an integrated laser pointer, giving presenters the freedom to control their presentations from anywhere in the boardroom, classroom or in the field. IOGEAR’s next generation Phaser, now with a USB compatible receiver, enables presenters to highlight material or direct audiences to specific points in a presentation with its built-in laser pointer. The handheld RF (Radio Frequency) mouse allows users to walk around the room, no longer bound to a computer. With radio wave technology, there is no need to point the mouse directly at the computer. It will work in any location and from any direction up to 50 feet away. The product is priced at $49.95 (MSRP) and is available immediately from all major catalog resellers, online resellers and selected retail outlets. “Phaser is the perfect tool for active presenters who like to liven up the room and keep the audience’s attention where it should be,” said Miranda Su, vice president of sales and marketing at IOGEAR, Inc. “By adding USB compatibility, IOGEAR enables Phaser to become a more universal presentation tool.” Phaser’s thumb-operated track ball and ergonomic contour make cursor movement easy and comfortable. The second left-click button allows users to trigger instead of clicking the mouse. The IOGEAR mouse is Windows PC compatible, and is backed by IOGEAR’s three-year warranty.
